Tasty Vegan

- Contact: N/A
- Open daily 9 am โ 9 pm
- Best Features: Authentic Indonesian cuisine, hidden restaurant
Few articles will mention Tasty Vegan on their lists, not because it doesn’t offer some of the best vegan authentic Indonesian cuisine (it most definitely does), but because few people know about it! This hidden gem is a local staple, it is family-run and has a gorgeously tranquil garden that diners can sit and enjoy their food in. Just off Seminyak’s main street, Tasty Vegan offers affordable vegan food in a wide range of options, from authentic cuisine to vegan ice cream.
Therefore, if you’re looking to peel back a little of the tourist veneer of Seminyak, we strongly recommend taking a few small steps off the main street and eating like a local at Tasty Vegan. Entering this Elysium of gorgeous vegan cuisine may give you much needed time away from the busy hustle and bustle of the town and time to reflect on your bali trip.
Tasty vegan will always remain the best vegan restaurant in seminyak (even Bali) for me personally, because there are so many dishes on their menu that I can’t get enough of.

Zula defines themselves as a ‘vegetarian paradise’, but their menu features a ton of vegan options too, which is why we think they should be featured on this list. Like Earth Cafe, Zula is part of Bali’s macrobiotic movement, meaning that all their dishes are health and nutrition-focused, and adhere to the macrobiotic principles of the movement. The ingredients that Zula uses are all organic, non-GMO, and as many as possible are locally sourced. This cruelty-free and health-based Nivarna is designed to delight everyone, vegan, vegetarian or carnivorous.
Zula features an extensive menu (also available on their website), which as mentioned includes both vegetarian and vegan options. The features of each dish are clearly labeled, so there’s no need to worry about accidentally picking a vegetarian instead of a vegan dish. Zula also pays incredibly sharp attention to dietary requirements and clearly marks common allergens such as gluten and wheat. They offer everything from soups, to pizzas, salads, wraps, and more, and they offer generous portions. These generous portions are essential if you’re looking to have an action-packed day in Seminyak, as they will help ensure you remain full and nourished throughout the entire day!
Lastly, Zula also offers a broad drinks menu, which is great if you’re only making a short pit stop. They offer a wide range of teas and cold drinks, as well as having a menu dedicated to juices and smoothies designed to aid with a variety of nutritional and health needs, such as energy boosters, post-workout drinks, and antioxidant cleanses.
