Best Vegan Restaurants in Nusa Dua

Nusa Dua is perhaps one of the most beautiful and luxurious places on the island of Bali. However, it is not so abundant with vegan cafes and restaurants as you may see in Canggu or Ubud. I visited Nusa Dua for the sole purpose of finding the best vegan restaurants to eat at.

During my time in Nusa Dua, I was able to find a few places which catered to Vegans and had clearly marked Vegan options in their Menu. All the places on my list are based on my actual visit and opinion. The food I recommend is the food I’ve tasted. This is not some compiled list off the internet.

So without any further delay, let’s take a look at some of the vegan restaurants in Nusa Dua which I loved eating at.

Giridhari – Vegetarian & Vegan Restaurant

This is a traditional Indonesian restaurant with a very localish vibe. This is located a few kilometers from Nusa Dua and would take you around 20 min on a scooter or motorbike to reach. But trust me, if you miss this place you might regret your trip to Nusa Dua.

Giridhari Restaurant serves Vegan Dishes. In fact, all of their food menu is vegan. The Non-vegan part could be in their drinks menu, but you can enquire upon arrival. The Lady who runs the place perfectly understands what vegan food is.

Recommended Dishes

  • Nasi Campur
  • Nasi Goreng (all varieties)
  • Pure Orange Juice
  • Mie Goreng

Cacao Flow – Vegan Restaurant

One of the only 100% Pure vegan restaurant of Nusa dua in this list, is around 25 minutes away from the beaches of Nusa Dua. This is a very small cafe style restaurant with a limited but delicious menu.

They serve smoothie bowls and delicious cakes among other things. I really enjoyed my time at this place and the staff is really courteous.

  • Red Dragon Bowl
  • Green Energy Bowl
  • Mintvera
  • Green Flow Salad
  • Raw Vegan Cakes

Nu Delhi – Indian Restaurant

This is not a pure vegan restaurant. But what makes this place special is the fact that they have

  • clearly marked vegan options in menu
  • staff understands what vegan is, and will make sure there isn’t any butter or ghee in your dish by mistake.

Nu Delhi also boasts of a separate vegetarian kitchen, which many traditional Hindus from India prefer a lot. However, for us vegans, its insignificant.

Recommended Dishes

  • Chole Bhature
  • Plain Dosa
  • Ice Lemon Tea
  • Orange Juice

Generally, Chole Bhature is not vegan. But Nu Delhi makes it vegan and fantastic. I will probably visit this place again in the future and add more dishes to the recommended section.

De Verdant Organic Kitchen

Verdant Organic Kitchen located in the most vibrant area of Nusa Dua, the Bali Collection. This place is at the same place where all luxury resorts are located. They have a nice outdoor/indoor seating and the environment at night is lovely. However, lack of an air-conditioner makes its a bit 😐

However, this non-vegan restaurant offers a lot of clearly marked vegan options in their menu including ice creams.

The variety in their menu is huge which makes it one of our favourite vegan restaurants in Nusa dua. From regular dishes, drinks, smoothie bowls, and some traditional Indonesian foods – Verdant kitchen offers everything.

Recommended Dishes

  • Any of the Smoothie Bowls
  • Gluten-Free Ice Cream
  • Namaste Bowl
